Option of specifying TV-show not in list

Reported by Tom Ribbens | April 12th, 2010 @ 07:00 PM | in v2.4

It would be very helpful if one could specify the TV-Show when it doesn't show up correctly on the list with search results.

I encounter this problem with Doctor Who episodes. The search results give me the original series for English, while it's the 2005 series I want. That series does show up in the results for me, but only in german. I would like to force it to use the correct show and language. Easiest probably would be if it was possible to enter the show ID when prompted for which show it is.

You can force the language in the config - it should default to English.. Entering a specific series ID is a good idea - it'd be an improvement to tvdb_api rather than tvnamer

I shall add the enter-series-ID when I get a chance, not sure why it is giving you German episode data..

I had already solved my problems with it by saying it shouldn't search for other language data.

It didn't just give me the German version, but a list of about 5 I could choose from. The first was the 1963 series of Doctor Who in English, that came back in a couple other languages. Third or fourth option was the 2005 series in German. The 2005 version did not show up in English, unless i set the config that it should ONLY find English shows.

Ability to specify a series id would probably still be useful though.

Ahh, it's only showing the first ~5 results, and the various languages get listed before the alternatives..

I'll add an option to manually enter a series ID, and possibly add a "show more results" option
